Cooking & Baking are my Passion
My goal is to share my passion for cooking. I have a few hobbies that pique my interest, but for a while now I have been passionate about cooking and baking as well. What started out as helping in the kitchen abruptly turned into a regular hobby that I found pleasure in. I love cooking and baking because I enjoy creating new recipes and best of all making something that is delicious. Through cooking, one ventures into new undiscovered territories (recipes) which is not only exciting but opens the door into the infinite number of dishes you can try out.
Growing up I remember watching the cooking shows such as Chopped, Cake Boss, Cake Wars and was so fascinated by the cooking world that at one point I dreamed of becoming a chef. As time passed, I realized although I love cooking and baking, making it my career is not realistic now. Currently I just want cooking and baking to remain as nothing more than a hobby. However, if possible, in the future I would not mind opening a small café or pub. Now I am not a professional or anywhere near Gordon Ramsay’s level but that does not matter when you are passionate about a certain activity. Besides there is room for growth. The learning never stops.
“What I love most about cooking is the ability to be creative” (Outwit Trade). Cooking does not require you to stick to the specific measurements of the ingredients, in fact it is quite the opposite. In cooking, you often need to tweak the recipe until you get the “perfect” taste right or if it seems as if it is missing something then you can personally add a spice of your choice. “I love to cook is because it allows me to do things for others” (Luczak). When I make a meal for others and see the satisfaction in their faces, it makes me feel delighted.
Another reason I love to cook is because I love the different expressions my friends and family make when I ask them to taste my food. It makes my passion for cooking grow with grace and I tend to set my standards even higher to see how well I can accomplish certain dishes. I find joy in sharing my creations with others and watch my cooking skills flourish as I create new dishes and desserts alike.
Even though I love cooking, some individuals may not be interested at all. I understand that not everyone sees cooking as an enjoyable activity. In fact some individuals see it as a hassle and a waste of time. Cooking does not necessarily mean you have to prepare a gourmet meal, it can be the simplest of meals. Do your research and find something that is quick and easy.
It is true that cooking is not always the easiest nor the cleanest activity. There will be times where a meal will require long hours of preparation but for me the wait is worth it. Not to mention that the tasty results will be rewarding.
